R. J. Corman Railroad Company is seeking a Railcar Repair Team Member to join our team in Lebanon, TN. Accountability: â?¯ Performs mechanical repairs including cutting, welding, and overall mechanical aptitude. Railcar inspections & repairs will be documented for verification and to ensure the work is being done correctly and in a timely manner.â?¯ Responsibilities:â?¯â?¯ Welding, cutting, and mechanical type repairsâ?¯ Forklift operationâ?¯ Understanding of documenting work performed and recording material usageâ?¯â?¯ Ensure that paperwork for railcar repairs is complete and correctâ?¯ Ensure that repair jobs are completed in a timely mannerâ?¯ Ensure that vehicles and shops kept clean & safeâ?¯ Ensure that the employees are working in a safe mannerâ?¯â?¯ Assist with inspection and repairs as neededâ?¯ Performs other duties as assigned by management.â?¯ Specialized or Technical Knowledge, or Education and Experience:â?¯â?¯ Railcar mechanical experience preferred, must have a background in welding and cutting. Must have good communication and people skills with demonstrated ability to develop team work and work with all levels of personnel in achieving our goals.â?¯ Physical Requirements:â?¯â?¯ Able to perform physical strenuous work Able to frequently bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch Requires constant standing, walking, climbing stairs and ladders, and balancingâ?¯in a safe mannerâ?¯ Able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 30 lbs Perform a rapid, horizontal hand torque action with a force of 100 lbs Benefits: R.
