This role is a member of the ODFL Cloud Engineering and Architecture team. This team has the mandate to define, create, and govern the Architectural Strategy, Framework, and Roadmap to enable Old Dominion Freight Line to serve our Customers better than anyone else. Working closely with the Enterprise Architecture team this role will be responsible for the planning, design, and execution of Old Dominions strategy for supporting DevOps, micro-services, and middleware capabilities. This position is part of a team that is responsible for enabling significant organizational and technological change by providing a foundation for continuous integration, and delivery, of business capabilities with the goal of continuously improving Old Dominions ability to exceed our customers expectations. Primary Responsibilities + Facilitate programs to develop, maintain, and govern Continuous Integration and Delivery capabilities across the enterprise + Facilitate the Development and communication of IT Cloud architectural standards. + Facilitate the design and build of the capabilities supporting Hybrid Cloud and Micro-Services + Continuous Integration and Delivery through a Source-To-Image strategy + Application resiliency, high availability, and security + Application elasticity and scalability + Application management, monitoring, and alerting + Infrastructure-As-Code automation of platform provisioning and deprovisioning + Facilitate the selection of appropriate technologies and patterns for the implementation of application hosting capabilities + Research and evaluate emerging technology, industry and market trends + Facilitate the creation of reference models for, and the adoption of, emerging technologies + Facilitate the creation of reference models for, and the adoption of, emerging implementation patterns + Continuously develop new skills in order to stay current with the changing IT and Business landscape Pay Range + $99,647 - $124,558 Job Qualifications Education: + Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of relevant education, training and experience Experience: + Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT systems administration + Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT systems architecture and/or engineering + Direct experience in the engineering, and operation of PaaS and IaaS solutions + Experience implementing data management and large-scale application platforms + Experience implementing distributed computing environments + Experience in Network engineering + Experience implementing CI/CD and Infrastructure Automation patterns + Experience in the engineering and operation of containerization and virtualization technologies + Experience with Application-to-Application integration + Exceptional partnering and communication skills + Ability to work independently and self-pace work to meet required deadlines Join the OD Family Today!As a Full Time member of our Family, you and your family are eligible to receive: + Health, Dental & Vision Benefits + Short Term & Long Term Disability + Flex Spending Accounts + 401(k) Retirement Plan + Life Insurance + Wellness Program + Credit Union access, Vacation & Holiday + Birthday Holiday who doesnt love some extra attention on their Birthday?
