Job Description:

As an Inside Sales Account Manager, your primary focus will be to promote the sale of our leather within our territory of the US. You will serve as the subject matter expert for our leather and be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with our current customers as well as finding new accounts. In addition, you will work closely with our ecommerce team to help drive market share growth and promote our leather in a wide range of industries including fashion, furniture, design, and other leather goods manufacturing.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Proactively seeks new business opportunities using messaging, phone calls, etc. to drive new revenue opportunities.
  • Uses solid sales strategies with key decision-makers to close new business.
  • Provide and present leather recommendations and estimates according to the clients needs.
  • Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from business directories, industry ads, trade shows, websites, and other sources.
  • Expands sales in existing accounts by introducing new products and services.
  • Provides strategic direction based on industry and technical experience for client accounts as a trusted advisor.
  • Writes and negotiates contracts and other client agreements.
  • Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database.
  • Investigates and resolves customer problems.
  • Plans for, participates in, and supports trade shows, trade events and other major sales events.
    REQUIREMENTS
    • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience in related field preferred.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Strong technical skills in MS office and customer relationship management systems. Must be proficient with electronic media.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Must be able to occasionally lift or move minimum of 25 pounds.
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule during trade show events, including weekends. (Usually 4-6 per year)
