Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Medical Surgical - Ortho/Neuro Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00) Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours preferred Experience: 2 years required; First-time travelers accepted with good experience and Ortho/Neuro knowledge License: Valid Kentucky or compact license preferred Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: - Medical Surgical Ortho and Neuro experience - Flu vaccine required with no exemptions Job Description: - Work on a Medical Surgical unit with a focus on Ortho and Neuro patients. - Participate in night shifts, with flexible scheduling options including block scheduling when allowed. - Responsible for managing patient care with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6. - Be open to weekend shifts as discussed during the interview. - Involve in on-call rotation as required. - Familiarity with EMR systems, particularly Meditech, is preferred. - Orientation includes 16 hours to get acquainted with the unit and protocols. - Work weeks of holidays as necessary, unless otherwise negotiated. Candidates must be prepared to work collaboratively with an emphasis on patient-centered care in a night shift environment.
