qualified PCU RN in Hermitage, Tennessee, 37076! Pay Information
$1,836 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse

Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years
License: RN Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Critical thinking
skills EKG rhythm interpretation Cardiac drip, insulin drip, and
heparin drip experience Experience with bipaps, high flow oxygen,
and multiple oxygen delivery systems Experience with stroke and
post-cardiac catheterization care Peritoneal dialysis experience
preferred Experience with tube feedings and NG/dobhoff tubes
Description: The unit has 34 beds available for patients. The
patient-to-nurse ratio ranges from 1:4 to 1:5 during the day and
1:5 to 1:6 during the night. There are 3 techs available when the
34-bed unit is full. The unit utilizes equipment such as bipaps,
high flow oxygen, vapotherm, alaris pumps, and various cardiac
drips. The documentation system is Meditech. Nurses are expected to
work every other weekend on their contract. There may be a need to
float between PCU units or to medical-surgical floors. Hourly
rounding is required on days, and every two hours on nights.
Communication boards are utilized within the unit. The preferred
skills include experience with peritoneal dialysis, tube feedings,
and various insertion procedures. Teamwork is emphasized within the
unit, fostering a family-like culture. Self-scheduling is allowed,
with a commitment to work every other weekend. Most travelers
