Pay Information $1,828 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Critical thinking skills EKG rhythm interpretation Experience with cardiac drips, insulin drips, and heparin drips Experience with peritoneal dialysis preferred Peripheral IV skills Experience with bipaps, high flow oxygen, and multiple oxygen delivery systems Experience with stroke and post-cardiac cath care Experience with tube feedings and NG/dobhoff tubes Description: The unit has a total of 34 beds with a patient ratio of 1:4 to 1:5 during the day and 1:5 to 1:6 at night. The unit is staffed with three techs when full. The equipment used includes bipaps, high flow oxygen, vapotherm, Alaris pumps, cardiac drips, heparin drips, insulin drips, and peritoneal dialysis equipment. Documentation is completed using a specific system. Providers are expected to adhere to a scheduling requirement of every other weekend with three 12-hour shifts per week. Floating between units may be required. Patient experience expectations include hourly rounding during the day and every two hours at night. The required certifications are BLS and ACLS. The dress code is black scrubs. The unit offers self-scheduling every four weeks and emphasizes teamwork.
