and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Labor and Delivery -
Discipline: RN - Start Date: 07/21/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 48
hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel
Job Posting: Labor and Delivery Nurse Unit Details: - 14-bed unit -
2 triage beds - 4 recovery bays - 3 operating rooms (ORs) - 3 labor
tubs - Postpartum unit with 27 beds Responsibilities: - Work across
Antepartum, Labor & Delivery (L&D), and Postpartum units -
Circulate in the OR for C-sections - Triage patients after
education and testing (Qualified Medical Personnel - QMP) - Provide
care with the following nurse-to-patient ratios: - Labor: 1:2 (1:1
for glucostabilizer, magnesium sulfate, and pitocin) - Antepartum:
1:3 - Triage: 1:2-3 based on acuity (walk-ins, direct admits from
MD offices, ED) - OR Circulator: 1:1 - Postpartum: 1:7 (babies not
in room at night, but can stay during the day) - Mother-baby
couplet care: 1:3 if needed (mother's choice) Unit Statistics: -
300 deliveries per month - 3,700 deliveries per year Staffing: -
Laborists and anesthesia available 24/7 - Family medicine residents
available for triage patients if needed - No midwives currently,
but bylaws are being established to include them Additional
Information: - No magnesium sulfate in postpartum after labor;
patients stay in L&D for magnesium treatment - Documentation in
