Job Description:
Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: ICU
Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience:
Minimum 2 years License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH
Must-Have: Critical thinking, self-motivated Description: The unit
has 16 beds. Patient ratios are typically 2:1, with occasional 3:1.
Unit staff may include secretaries and techs depending on census.
Available equipment includes Impella, GE monitors, temporary
pacemakers, EKOS, IABP, Arctic Sun, and hemodynamic monitoring
tools. Documentation is completed using Meditech. Scheduling
requires a commitment of 36 hours weekly. Staff may float in
rotation with core staffing. Candidates must have certifications in
ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIH. Required uniform is scrubs of any color,
with restrictions on denim, capris, or camo. Advanced skills needed
include performing central line insertions and dialysis catheter
insertions. The unit promotes a flexible schedule and values a
teamwork environment. Staff members have a mix of experience from
day and night shifts. Additional recognition includes community
initiatives and notable awards.
