Position Overview The Department of Neonatology part of Monroe
Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt (MCJCHV), is seeking a
Board-Eligible/Board-Certified Pediatric Hospitalist/Newborn
Medicine Pediatrician to support Cookeville Regional Medical
Center, an affiliate hospital with Vanderbilt University Medical
Center. We are looking for a highly skilled clinician with a focus
on hospital medicine and a special interest in delivery rooms and
newborn care. Key Responsibilities Provide hospital medicine and
newborn care at Cookeville Regional Medical Center as a Vanderbilt
employee Participate in delivery room procedures and newborn care
Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care
and clinical operations Perform Circumcisions, UVC Placements, and
Intubations using LMA Qualifications Board-Eligible or
Board-Certified in Pediatric Hospital Medicine or Pediatrics
Clinical focus on hospital medicine with training in delivery rooms
and newborn care. Ability to perform circumcisions, UVC placements,

Hospital Medicine Part of Monroe Carell Jr. Children s Hospital,
the Pediatric Hospital Medicine Division is dedicated to the care
of hospitalized children through four specialized sections:
hospital medicine, complex care, palliative care, and child
maltreatment. The division plays a vital role in both inpatient and
outpatient pediatric care, while also contributing to medical
education, research, and community advocacy. Led by a
multidisciplinary team of physicians, psychologists, and nurse
practitioners, the division strives to ensure every child receives
the best possible care in a supportive and family-centered
