Job Description ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Nashville, Tennessee. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: /n/n Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. /n/n Opportunity: /n RN - Med Surg Neuro /n/n Job Details: /n • Work 3 twelve-hour shifts per week with 2 weekends (4 shifts) per 4-week schedule /n• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 6:1 on 20-bed Neuro Med/Surg unit /n• Required to wear navy scrubs (tops and bottoms) /n• Tech support available on day and night shifts with unit secretary coverage from 7a-7p /n• Work with equipment including IV pumps, telemetry, SCDs, continuous pulse ox machines, feeding pumps, PCA, EKG machines, bladder scanner, and iMobile communication technology /n• Use Meditech documentation system /n• Contract labor is first to float based on rotation when multiple contract/locum staff are scheduled /n• Provide attentive and compassionate care with bedside shift reports and patient/family involvement in care planning /n• Must have Med/Surg experience with ability to prioritize care and multitask /n• Perform basic wound care and maintain surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes /n• Must be able to start IVs /n• Active RN license and BLS certification required /n/n Facility: /n This healthcare facility is a comprehensive medical center that holds multiple certifications including Comprehensive Stroke designation, ACS Verified Level II Trauma Center status, and Certified Chest Pain Center recognition.
