33-bed Medical/Surgical unit (6th floor, Main Campus) Shift:
12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) Hours per Week: 36 Scheduling:
Every other weekend required Patient Ratio: 7:1 nights Support
Staff: 3 techs per shift, unit secretary on days Documentation
System: Meditech Estimated Weekly Salary: $1530 - $1640 Registered
Nurse Qualifications Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN)
license (Tennessee or compact state) Minimum 1 year of recent
Medical/Surgical nursing experience BLS certification (American
Heart Association required) Strong IV skills; experience with
Kangaroo pumps and SCDs Ability to float to other appropriate
hospital units as needed Excellent communication and teamwork
skills Med/Surg RN Responsibilities Provide high-quality,
compassionate care to a diverse Med/Surg patient population
Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and manage IVs and
infusion pumps Collaborate with physicians, techs, and support
staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes Accurately document all
patient care activities in Meditech EHR Educate patients and
families to promote positive healthcare experiences Adhere to
hospital policies, procedures, and safety guidelines Float to other
nursing units as required by hospital needs Hermitage, TN, offers
