qualified PACU/Pre-Post Op RN in Louisville, Kentucky, 40202! Job

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of acute care RN experience License:
Registered Nurse Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Two
(2) years of acute care RN experience - BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
Description: A professional nurse is accountable for the care of a
group of patients. The Registered Nurse (RN) focuses on safe,
effective patient and family-centered care, customer satisfaction,
and quality outcomes. The RN is responsible for assisting in
maintaining a financially stable unit and promoting personal
development with an emphasis on evidence-based practice and
education. The RN supervises licensed and non-licensed staff
members. Applying the caring processes of the Kristin M. Swanson
Model of Care, the RN is responsible for assessing, developing,
implementing, and evaluating the plan of care. The RN focuses on
patient and family comfort, education, and satisfaction. The RN
applies educational and professional experiences in the delivery of
quality care and mentoring/precepting staff. Job Responsibilities:
Assessment: Performs assessments and reassessments per policy and
procedure or as warranted by patient condition. Demonstrates the
ability to make sound independent decisions. Development &
Implementation: Initiates, prioritizes, and implements the plan of
care. Reviews and revises the plan as indicated. Collaborates with
patient/family and interdisciplinary services. Utilizes resources
appropriately to support the needs of the organization, patient,
and family. Evaluation: Monitors and documents responses to
clinical interventions. Education: Facilitates, coordinates,
provides, and evaluates education specific to patient/family needs.
This includes care, treatment, and services provided during their
stay and at discharge. Leadership: Delegates tasks to licensed and
non-licensed personnel. Functions as a mentor/preceptor.
Demonstrates, encourages, and facilitates teamwork. Identifies and
appropriately communicates opportunities for improvement.
Participates in quality, safety, and service process improvement
efforts and implements practice changes. Complies with regulatory
standards and participates in Practice Governance. Schedule Notes:
Call requirement includes 3-5 weeknight shifts in a 6-week schedule
period. Weekend call requirement typically includes 2-4 weekend
shifts in a 6-week schedule period. Shifts are not full weekends
