Job Description:

Center, where we are looking for a dedicated PACU Nurse to join our
team. The Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Nurse at the Sarah
Cannon Cancer Center will be responsible for monitoring patients
who are recovering from anesthesia, including those who have
undergone cancer-related surgeries. This role requires a
compassionate approach and a meticulous eye for detail to manage
the complexities of post-operative care specific to oncology
patients. Monitor patient vital signs and levels of consciousness
during the recovery phase from anesthesia. Assess, identify, and
manage post-operative pain and other symptoms or complications.
Communicate effectively with the oncology team to provide updates
on patient progress and any critical issues. Educate patients and
their families on post-surgery recovery procedures specific to
oncology care. Maintain detailed records of patient status and
report any significant changes to the supervising physician. Strong
ability to monitor and assess post-anesthetic patients Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in managing pain
and other post-operative symptoms Skill in using medical software
and patient management systems Medical Insurance Dental Insurance
Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid Registered Nurse (RN)
license in the state of practice Basic Life Support (BLS)
Certification Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse (CPAN) certification is
advantageous
