Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Livingston,
Tennessee, 38570! Job Title: Med/Surg Nurse Profession: RN
Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00-07:00 Hours per
Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience
License: Must have TN RN or multi-state compact license
Certifications: Must have ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
through the American Heart Association Must-Have: - 2 years recent
Med/Surg experience - TN RN or multi-state compact license - ACLS,
BLS, and PALS certifications Description: Med/Surg Nurses provide
direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the
application of scientific nursing principles. Responsibilities
include coordinating with health care team members to assess, plan,
implement, and evaluate patient care plans. Prepares and
administers prescribed medications and records them accurately.
Reports adverse reactions to medications or treatments in
accordance with policies regarding administration by a licensed
registered nurse. Educates patients on surgical procedures. Records
patients' medical information and vital signs. Monitors and adjusts
specialized equipment used on patients, interpreting and recording
electronic displays. Initiates corrective actions whenever a
patient displays adverse symptoms. Provides bedside care for a wide
variety of medical patients, including pre- and post-surgery
patients. Initiates patient education plans as prescribed by the
physician. Teaches patients and significant others how to manage
their illness or injury by explaining post-treatment home care
needs. Changes dressings, inserts catheters, and starts IVs.
Prepares equipment and aids physicians during examinations and
treatment of patients. Responds to life-saving situations based on
nursing standards and protocols. Participates in discharge
planning. Utilizes time management skills effectively. Records all
care information concisely, accurately, and completely in a timely
manner. Performs other position-related duties as assigned,
