Job Description:
TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center, a leading provider of
healthcare services in Nashville, TN, is seeking a PRN Nuclear
Medicine Technologist to join our innovative team. This position
requires a skilled professional responsible for using radioactive
materials to create images of organs and administering radioactive
drugs to patients for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes. The
candidate will collaborate with a dynamic medical team to enhance
patient outcomes and uphold the facility's commitment to
high-quality, compassionate care. This role offers the flexibility
of as-needed hours with a schedule that adapts to the demands of
the department. Prepare and administer radioactive chemical
compounds, known as radiopharmaceuticals Perform imaging procedures
using radiation detection equipment Ensure adherence to safety
standards to protect patients and staff Maintain detailed patient
records and communicate findings to relevant medical personnel
Assist in the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of diseases
Conduct equipment checks and ensure maintenance protocols are
followed Collaborate with healthcare providers to evaluate tests
and determine appropriate treatment plans Proficiency in the use of
nuclear medicine equipment Ability to handle radiopharmaceuticals
safely Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent
patient communication and care abilities Familiarity with medical
