Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 04/06/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • 12-hour shifts with every other weekend requirement • Patient ratio of 6:1 for days, nights, and weekends • Floating to other units as needed on PRN basis • Can be placed on call once every pay period (2 weeks) • Block scheduling available • 24 hours of orientation provided • One pre-approved time off request allowed • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required • Travel experience preferred • Previous charge experience preferred • Valid Kentucky or compact state nursing license required • BLS certification required (AHA only) • Flu vaccination required with no exemptions • 65-mile radius restriction applies • Meditech charting system experience preferred • Care for adult and geriatric patients with post-operative conditions, vascular surgeries, and medical conditions • Perform bedside procedures including thoracentesis and debridement • Manage specialized equipment including wound vacs and surgical drains • Work with interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams Facility: This medical center provides comprehensive healthcare services with a focus on medical-surgical care for adult and geriatric populations.
