Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Murfreesboro, TN Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,780 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/5/2026 About the Position Job Title: RN PCU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:45 PM - 07:15 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Certification Must-Have: Experience in stepdown/intermediate care settings Description: Unit capacity is 36 beds. The population served includes stepdown and PCU patients. Patients may require continuous Bipap support. Management of low-dose vasopressors is necessary. Trauma patients are a part of the patient population. Lumbar drains may be cared for by nursing staff. CIWA patients on higher doses of Ativan require monitoring. Hyponatremia and emergency dialysis patients are included in care. Care for patients with hyperkalemia is essential. Management of antifreeze ingestion cases is required. Home ventilator patients with tracheostomies may be encountered. Sheath removal and CEA procedures will be part of responsibilities. Care for patients with rhabdomyolysis is included. Administration of Precedex may be necessary. Stroke patients with Q2 neuro checks will be monitored. Stable craniotomy patients will require nursing care. Fentanyl drips may be utilized in patient management. The ages of patients served range from young adult to late adult (18 - 60). The nurse to patient ratio is 3:1.
