Route/Activity – Ideal candidate will be delivering aluminum coils and plate OTR on routes that don't go any further west than OK, as far south as TX and FL, and as far north as Canada, and some northeast (minimal). Having a US Passport is not a must, but it is a plus to go into Canada. Average 2,300 to 2,600 miles per week, 4 to 5 layovers per week, 6 to 10 stops per week, all types of weather, mostly indoor loading. Shift – 5.5 days a week. We strive to get our drivers home at the end of the week. Equipment – 48' & 53' Flatbed trailers Conestoga. 2016 Freightliner automatic tandem axle sleepers. No Slip-Seating. Compensation – $5,000 SIGN ON BONUS - $80-$85K ANNUALLY First part of sign on bonus will be paid out on the fourth paycheck and then in 90 day increments over the course of 1 year. Activity based pay details are as follows: $.525 CPM $27.55 stop pay (Load or Unload). Layover pay is $26.75. $16.80 hr delay pay (if delayed for more than 2 hours). Breakdown pay is also $16.80 per hour. $100 border crossing bonus to run into Canada (we will help obtain and pay for a passport). $225 monthly safety and fuel bonus. Responsibilities: -Loading, unloading, or assisting in loading and unloading truck. -Safe and responsible operation of assigned equipment. -Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines. -Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage before and after route. -Primary interface with the customer at point of delivery. Qualifications: Job Qualifications: -At least 23 years of age -CDL Class A license required -1 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience in the last 3 years -3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations/accidents -Reliable and customer oriented -Safety oriented -Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job -Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.
