We are seeking a Float Pool/House Administration Manager for our facility to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. Job Summary:

  • Your role will have 24/7 responsibility/accountability for House Supervisors and the Resource Pool.
  • You will be expected to work shifts as the House Supervisor and maintain the competencies associated with this role.
  • Your role coordinates and integrates nursing services within the department and with other departments within the facility
  • Your role supervises and evaluates personnel for a specific shift in accordance with established evaluation criteria and personnel policies.
  • Your role maintains appropriate staffing coverage for clinical units, ensuring standardized data is used in staffing decisions.
  • You will monitor high risk procedures to assure compliance to hospital policy and provide direction to staff (example: restraint procedures, transfers, emergency codes, autopsy and deaths).
  • You will assist with orientation, in-service training and continuing education of per diem staff or other nursing staff as assigned.
  • Your role responds to patient/family complaints and works toward a timely resolution
  • You will follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Qualifications

  • Current compact licensure as an RN.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
  • Current certification as a BLS Healthcare Provider.
  • Two years of Med/Surg experience preferred.
  • ACLS required within 6 months in the position.
  • PALS required within 6 months in the position.
  • Demonstrated skills in management and supervision preferred.
  • Customer service abilities including effective listening skills.
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.
