Your Role:

We currently have an exciting Plant Director opportunity to lead our undercarriage operations in Peosta, Iowa. This plant is in our Agriculture division and employs 160 employees onsite. The Plant Director will be responsible for the overall management of the site and future growth, reporting directly into the Executive Operations director.

As the Plant Director, you will be respnsible for driving the collective performance (Safety, Morale, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Productivity) of the site and its activities to meet the objectives established with the Executive Director. Build and share the site's vision and the Group's orientations.

We need you for:

Provide leadership within the plant while being accountable for the overall plant performance: Safety, Quality, Service and Cost.

Direct and lead all operations within the plant managing a team of 7 direct reports

Accountable for providing a safe working environment

Develop and maintain qualified personnel within the all departments

Responsible for all site infrastructure for future viability and growth including capital projects

Responsible to support the development of new products and bring in house previously outsourced components

Set overall expectations/standards and motivate employees to perform

Drive a continuous improvement mind-set within plant environment

Ensure talent management and succession planning strategy are executed

Build relationships with customers at all levels

Represent the company in local community life

Ensure plant inventory is managed appropriately to deliver on time

What do you need to possess for being successful?

BS degree in Engineering or Business preferred

Must have minimum 3 years of experience in a Production Manager or similar role

Minimum 7 to 10 years of management experience including hiring, training, performance reviews, career development and forming high performance teams

Have been responsible for implementing and driving capital projects throughout the plant, as well as project budgets

Industrial experience the fields of components assembly, welding, paint, machining is preferred

Is recognized to embrace new ideas and approaches while installing employee engagement and confidence in our customers

Has strong continuous improvement knowledge and has been successful within a growing site/business

Have project management skills to lead various aspects of the plant growth and efficiency improvement

Known to build strong relationships internally and with customers

Self-motivated; takes initiative, works with a minimum of supervision.

Experience working in a fast pace plant environment

Knowledge of ERP / MRP systems and business processes is an asset

Travelling outside the office might be required (less than 10% of the time)
