Position Summary Provide leadership of Materials Management activities for the Bowling Green facility in support of the Parker WIN Strategy. This role develops and executes strategies within a lean enterprise environment concentrating on people, organization, process and information technology. Key objectives include maximizing customer experience (LISC) and optimizing inventory.Responsibilities This role is responsible for the materials management for the Bowling Green facility.Position will report to the Division Materials Manager and interacts with other functional leaders. The materials manager works with suppliers, business units, value streams, Sourcing, I/T and other appropriate resources to strategically plan and coordinate the flow of materials and information from customers through order fulfillment. Responsibilities include leadership of materials and production planning for the facility, shipping, receiving and inventory functions.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSPromote and foster safe work environmentFunctions as the plant process owner for inventory management and audits the processes to ensure policies and support of inventory goals and objectivesLeads the management of and corrective actions for late backlogImplements a lean approach to materials management including material flow and inventory controlSupports demand forecasting and supply planning to ensure the availability of all materials and products at minimum cost and supports the facility capacity planning/SIOP activities Analyzes inventories, develops and executes plans to balance Inventory % of Sales and optimize customer serviceReviews and analyses key customer LISC performance and leads the identification of root cause and corrective action related to on-time deliveryEstablishes and implements standard re-order and delivery procedures Employs data analysis and information technology to improve site/value stream(s) performanceResponsible for part data accuracy and the implementation of strategic MRP parameters to support customer experienceCommunicates significant LISC and late backlog exposures with customer-facing functionsCreates development plans for materials management team members and ensure talent pipeline is in place for key functionsQualifications QualificationsEducation:Bachelor's Degree (4 Year) in Supply Chain or Operations Management, Business, Engineering or Other Professional Certification -APICS or ISM preferredSupply Chain Training Program -such as Parker Executive Development Program preferredExperience:Minimum of 3-5 years applicable experience in materials management, supply chain, or operations Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Analytical and technical skills required to understand business practices and recommend proper automation opportunitiesWorking knowledge of SAP Materials Management and Production Planning modulesDemonstrated proficiency in MRP, Microsoft Programs Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external contactsUnderstanding of lean enterprise principles and practicesParker Hannifin Founded in 1917, Parker Hannifin Corporation is a $13.7 billion, global company.With annual sales of $13.7 billion in fiscal year 2020, Parker Hannifin is the world's leading diversified manufacturer of motion and control technologies and systems, providing precision-engineered solutions for a wide variety of mobile, industrial and aerospace markets.
