Job Description:

This role is responsible for leading the operations strategy within the assigned Value Stream with influence and direct authority for the safety, quality, delivery, and cost outputs from the Value Stream. The role leads a cross functional team including production, supply chain, maintenance, engineering, and quality to achieve the overall goals of the Value Stream.

Job Requirements: Required Skills Manages the manufacturing process of the Value Stream within the Bowling Green facility.
Provides direct leadership for production areas and the team members Drives operations to ensure safety, quality, delivery, productivity, staffing, and budget goals are achieved.
Establishes strong and effective working relationships that are conducive to maintaining a positive work environment.
Partners with departmental leaders: HSE, Quality, Engineering, Materials and Human Resources to achieve or exceed Value Stream goals.
Accountable for departmental expenses and spending to meet budget and targets.
Supports and drives annual performance appraisal process.
Grow and mentor direct reports as part of succession planning.
Drives performance management and accountability using tools and other methods to track performance.
Establish and execute mid term strategies to drive improved results in the value stream Manage the vision and mission of the value stream Development and use of metrics to monitor, analyze, and improve performance Evaluates departmental constraints and implements Lean Manufacturing techniques to improve capacities.
Works collaboratively with engineering and finance to define and lead cost-effective continuous improvement projects.
Drive fair and consistent application of policies across employee base.
Promotes and drives the organizations vision and utilization of Knorr Production System (Lean Manufacturing) methodologies.
Champions change and facilitates team related functions to improve the business performance.
Leads performance management initiatives through collaboration with shop floor, supervisors, and cross functional teams and departments.
Ensure all team members are adequately trained Accountable to drive continual improvement of the value stream with documented financial savings Develops succession planning criteria for applicable roles.
Uses problem solving methods and innovation to drive continuous improvement.
Works closely with team members across departments to establish priorities ensuring on-time shipments to customers, meeting quality expectations, and other activities as needed.
Adheres to current health, safety, and environmental policies (ISO14001). Is empowered to identify, stop, and communicate or escalate appropriate action in regards to safety, health, and environmental concerns.
Follows the quality policies and procedures (IATF 16949). Is empowered to identify, stop, and communicate or escalate appropriate action in regard to product quality.
Establish and maintain clear standards for visualization and 5S within the value stream Manage a balanced scorecard with countermeasures for performance gaps (PDCA) Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned Required Experience Bachelors degree in related discipline

Requires at least five years of manufacturing operations experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment including at least three years of experience in a supervisory leadership role.

Demonstrated experience in motivating and leading people

Demonstrated ability to analyze data

Experience forecasting complex business demands

Planning / project management

Ability to create a positive work environment

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required. Statistical evaluation software familiarity a plus.

Strong Problem solving skills

Strong Written and Oral communications skills

Ability to handle multiple priorities

Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing techniques with emphasis on Standardized Work, Continuous Improvement, 5S, and JIT principles

Greenbelt Certification is preferred but not required.

Demonstrated honesty, integrity, respect, and compassion for others.

Ability to maintain professionalism and demonstrate company values each day.
