Role Summary Inspect and repair welds (as needed) to ensure quality parts, on time, the first time to meet or exceed our customer requirements, while supporting the Magna Employees Charter and the policies and procedures of BGM. Key Responsibilities (This job description in no way implies that these are the only duties to be performed in this position. Team members will be required to follow any other job related instructions or to perform other job duties requested by their leader) Responsible for visual inspection (and repairs if needed) of all welds and weld quality. Perform minor repairs/adjustments to mig welders. Maintain integrity of weld quality to ensure finished product meets BGM standards. Maintain proper documentation of scrap and rework product. Follow Standard Operating Procedures established for each work station. Maintain integrity of quality to ensure finished product meets BGM standards, to include the changing of weld tips, wire spools, and cleaning of nozzles to ensure efficiency of weld robots. Maintain proper documentation of production. Key Qualifications/Requirements Minimum of 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment preferred Operate standard office equipment preferred Must be able to pass and maintain welding proficiency Must be able to detect and repair (within cycle times) all weld defects within your zone Understanding of weld terminology Additional Information Awareness.
