Job Description:

This position is responsible for the hands-on maintenance of the entire plant facility and it's equipment, including processing/manufacturing equipment and distribution equipment.Job responsibilities include The repair of building, grounds, and equipment.Perform variety of general maintenance and service functions including installations and repairs of plant equipment and facilities, trash removal from facility and operations of compactors and balersExecuting preventative and predictive maintenance programs.Minimizing production and maintenance downtime. Effectively communicating with Department peers to minimize problems associated with maintenance activities.Advising on improvements and implementing as approvedAdhering to facility housekeeping and safety programs Assist in PM CompletionIncluding Reports and Data EntryMaintain Battery Area To meet expectations of uptime of equipmentTo efficiently utilize power needs To increase life of batteryPerform preventative and regular maintenance to batteries Misc. cleaning inside & outside facility, snow removal, floor scrubbing and sweeping, warehouse janitorial work Yard Dog driver as neededBasic WeldingObtain certification and Operate motorized industrial equipment of all types.Assist maintenance mechanics and maintenance helpersParticipate in department meetings and projectsOperate within standard operating procedures Maintain neat, clean and well-organized work areaTimely and regular attendancePerform office maintenance tasks as neededAssist in the completion of Inspection and maintenance of monthly fire extinguisher inspections and eyewash stations. Support all Departments and Operations without delayMinimum RequirmentsHigh School Graduate or GED diploma1+ years of experience troubleshooting and maintaining a variety of equipment and machinery with emphasis on mechanical/electrical systems Demonstrated proficiency with basic mechanical/hydraulic and pneumatics concepts related to production equipment, material handling equipment and conveyor systemsDemonstrated understanding of machine diagnostics Basic computer skills (email [Outlook], Word, Excel)Good verbal and written communications skillsBasic welding skills.Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities.Other Job Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
