Unit as a Transportation Auto/Truck Technician III in Warren
County, you'll have the opportunity to performs major repairs and
maintains gasoline and diesel-powered equipment such as dozers,
graders, backhoes, loaders, pavers, etc. Holders of the
Transportation Auto/Truck Technician III position will complete
tasks such as: Diagnosis, repairs and maintains gas and diesel
powered equipment. Inspects and analyzes light or heavy equipment
for completeness of repairs and servicing reports. Maintain
equipment during snow and ice operations. Computer monitoring of
equipment. Holders of this job title will obtain the following
skills: Overhauling major systems in engines, transmissions,
hydraulic and electrical systems. Rebuilds turbo chargers, replaces
fuel injection pumps, repairs, and overhauls all major systems and
parts such as engines, transmissions, hydraulic and electrical
systems, disassembles, replaces, and inspects differentials etc.
Sets up and adjusts arc-welding machines as well as oxygen torch
sets. ASE certifications Desired candidates possess the following
requisite skills or experience applicable to the position: CDL Must
be Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certified in any three of
the medium/heavy truck or automobile test series. Must be ASE
certified in at least one of the following: Diesel engines,
Gasoline engines, or Engine repair. Understanding importance of

EDUCATION: High school graduate. EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS:
Must have five years of automotive/equipment/truck repair technical
experience. Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: Vocational or
technical school training in automotive/truck repair or a related
area will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year
basis. Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: NONE SPECIAL
REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): Must be 18 years
of age. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license to
qualify for employment in this job classification. Must be
Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certified in any three of the
medium/ heavy truck or automobile test series, one of which must be
diesel engines, gasoline engines, or engine repair Employees in
this job classification must furnish the agency's appointing
authority within six months of employment in the job
classification, documentation that he or she possesses a valid
Class A commercial driver's license. Must maintain any required

Conditions Incumbents working in this job title perform work in a
