**Position Description** **What does a successful** **Sales Operations, Advisory do?** The Sales Operations function is charged with improving sales performance through better processes, technology and methodologies. The main focus areas for this role are: + Provide significant contribution and support to major initiatives in areas including demand generation, deal governance, opportunity advancement and reporting and analysis + Identify continuous improvement of process efficiency and effectiveness + Address operational issues thus allowing the sales manager(s) to devote much of their attention to opportunity management, sales associates and the businesses they support + Support sales managers enabling them to more effectively lead their teams and spend more time in the field **RESPONSIBILITIES** **:** + Lead planning and execution of major Sales Operations initiatives. First project will be to design and build out a deal governance process for the Billing and Payments Group (BPG) spanning multiple business units. + Entails functional and process leadership responsibilities which are highly ambiguous, complex and tactical. + Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other sales personnel when acting in a leadership role. + Makes decisions which may have impacts on related departments, products, resources and services across the business. + Oversees resources and management teams to ensure they are contributing and performing effectively so successful outcomes are achieved. + Provide project management support for BU Sales team projects and roll outs. + Understands and executes plans for continuous improvements of tools, processes, and content. + Proactively collect and share sales best practices ? identify strategy and tactics that are working for one industry sector, business unit or product offering and facilitate application to other areas. + Liaison with reporting teams (eCRM, GSO Finance, etc.) on reports and the latest updates. + Communicate effectively with sales managers to identify and address areas for improvement within their respective teams and assist them where needed with internal meeting preparation, territory analysis, and sales executive level reporting. + Keeps abreast of new developments in relevant business environments and disciplines in order to define the necessary changes to sales policies and practices. + Monitor process compliance and compliance to Company-wide standards, and proactively identifies opportunities to share best practices. + Support the sales forecasting process, as appropriate. + Ad-hoc issue resolution & support of senior management upon request. + Back-up Director of Sales Operations with operations reviews, reporting, sales kick off, business reviews, and long range planning, as appropriate. + Work in partnership with other individuals and groups within BPG. These may include peers focused on sales operations, as well as Finance, Operations, GSO, Product, Marketing, etc. _The above statements are intended only to describe the general nature of the job, and should not be construed as an all-inclusive list of position responsibilities._ **POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:** **Education:** + Bachelor?s Degree **Job Related Experience:** + 7+ years of experience in a sales operations role in a large, multi-divisional organization + 5+ years of experience with Salesforce.com or similar CRM experience required with ability to create queries, reports and dashboards + Proven comfort working in a cross-functional, matrix-oriented environment + Experience in developing and leading ad-hoc teams without direct lines of reporting + Has broad and comprehensive understanding of different sales practices, procedures and processes with the external market + Effectively communicate with multiple functional groups + Proven understanding of key sales performance metrics and processes + Demonstrated ability to interact with and support senior leaders + Understanding of business process management best practices, documentation, and measuring continuous improvement **Functional Area Skills/Knowledge:** + Ability to effectively prioritize + Ability to distill loosely defined problems, identify potential approaches and execute solutions + Strong analytical skills and knowledgeable of financial models + Confident and highly communicative, with excellent business insight and a willingness to challenge others or propose changes + Ability to work well within a team + Very strong skill level with Microsoft Office, especially Excel + Strong organizational skills and attention to detail + Strong relationship building skills + Strong communications skills (written and oral) + Strong project and time management skills + Willingness to travel as appropriate (estimated at less than 25%) _Fiserv is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Vet._ Fiserv is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Vet.
